PASSION FOR COMPUTER GAMES OF YOUNGER SCHOOLCHILDREN AS
A CRITERIA OF THEIR SCHOOL PERFORMANCE
Abstract. This article discusses the problem of correlation between passion for computer games and school performance of younger schoolchildren. Psychologists, educators, parents are particularly concerned about excessive enthusiasm of children playing computer games because the computer games occupy a significant place in children’s lives and fundamentally affect the process of formation and development of their personalities. The article analyzes a number of pedagogical and psychological studies regarding the problem of playing activities mediated by information and computer technologies. The article presents the results of the pilot studyof the nature of correlation between passion for computer games and school performance of younger schoolchildren.
