TO THE PROBLEM OF THE STUDY OF MENTAL REPRESENTATIONS OF THE URBAN IDENTITY (FOR EXAMPLE, MEDIA DISCOURSES)
Abstract. The article presents an attempt to evaluate and study the mental environment of the urban community and its reflection features in the mental representations of the townspeople. Presented the basic conceptual ideas shaping urban identity in the media space areas and cities, discusses the role of media technologies in the structuring of the specific social and mental environment of the modern city and their influence on the processes of social adaptation and urban integration.
