DIAGNOSIS OF COGNITIVE ABILITIES OF CHILDREN WITH INTELLECTUAL DISABILITIES TO ENHANCE THEIR COGNITIVE ACTIVITY
Abstract. The relevance of this work is explained by the fact that the child with mental retardation is particularly in need of socialization, adaptation and integration in society. The objectives of correctional pedagogy includes the formation of cognitive interest of the child with intellectual disabilities, aimed at active cognition of reality and himself as the subject of life. The first step in applying various ways and means of enhancing the cognitive activity of students is to identify the initial level of cognitive abilities of children. The article presents the results of such diagnostics and their interpretation.
