Abstract. The article deals with the problem of susceptibility of young people to participate in destructive groups of the Internet; describes the psychological characteristics prevailing in the young generation falling under the category of «targets» of destructive communities; the phenomenon of «destructive communities», manipulation, and the mechanism of manipulation by participants of destructive groups.
