INDIVIDUALISM, EGOISM, HUMANISM: PECULIARITIES OF THE INTERACTION
Abstract. The article investigates the thesis, according to which individualism became the greatest humanistic achievement of Western civilization. One of the main consequences of such an idea is the possibility for an individual to leave any group or another big structure for the sake of one’s own self-realization without feeling guilty. Such an opportunity becomes especially actual for few gifted individuals, whose creative labor furthers progress of all human civilization as a result.
