Abstract. The paper describes the essential characteristic of the concept of «adequate self-concept of the teacher» Identified its basic structural components. Three stages of formation of an adequate «self-concept» in professional development of teachers. Describes the psychological mechanisms and studied criterial indicators adequate «self-concept», as a prerequisite for personal development of teachers.
