IMAGINATION AND ITS USE IN TEACHING STUDENTS FOR TECHNICAL UNIVERSITY IN THE COURSE «FOREIGN LANGUAGE FOR SPECIFIC PURPOSES»

Abstract. This article discusses the possibility of developing the imagination of students with learning a foreign language in the context of their future specialty. The authors give an overview of approaches to understanding the imagination and introduces its own definition of this concept to the issues of work. We consider the function of imagination in human life, demonstrated the necessity of development of the mental process in university students. Examples of specific methods of stimulating the imagination, included in a set of exercises aimed at the formation and development of professionally oriented foreign language communicative kompetentsii.
