ANTHROPOLOGICAL ASPECTS OF STUDYING THE «SELF-ESTIMATION» CONCEPT IN THE WORKS OF FOREIGN REPRESENTATIVES OF NON-CLASSICAL PSYCHOLOGY

 

Abstract. The article is devoted to the study of the problem of defining the concept of self-esteem, the principle of evaluation and typologies of self-esteem in the works of representatives of non-classical psychology of the late XIX – XX centuries. The relevance of the topic lies in the need for a more detailed study of the anthropological side of the concept of self-esteem in the works of foreign experts at the stage of developing the concept and paradigm. The practical significance is expressed in the possibility of using the material of the article within the framework of psychological disciplines at the level of higher education. In the course of the study, the authors consider various concepts, bringing for discussion the general and particular features of the concepts of psychologists. The aim of the study is a comparative analysis of approaches and fundamental differences in the characteristics of the concept of self-esteem. The research methodology includes theoretical methods of psychology and pedagogy. The result of the study defines and refines the key features of the evaluation system determination, based on the conceptual features of the selected approaches.
