CONCEPTUALISATIONS OF THE ORIGIN OF EMOTIONS
Abstract. This article explores the history of the origin of emotions, taking into account psychological, philosophical and evolutionary aspects, starting from the birth of the human species. The article turns to the works of such philosophers as Aristotle, Plato, René Descartes, Benedict Spinoza, exploring the nature and role of emotions in human life. In the context of the Enlightenment, the shifts in the study of emotion from an empirical approach and early psychological thought represented by scholars such as David Hume and Immanuel Kant are discussed. The article reveals a unique perspective in understanding human emotional nature and its development by integrating concepts of basic emotions with evolutionary biology and philosophical doctrines.
