EVOLUTIONARY TRAPS AND THE WAY OF LIVING
Abstract. The article investigates some alternatives in the way of living of a contemporary person, who takes into account the achievements of natural and humanitarian sciences. In particular, the author studies the well-known appeal of Epicure and Freudian recommendation in the light of the modern biology, genetics and evolutionary theory. We demonstrate that every considered opportunity possesses some inner limitations and negative consequences, thus making improbable the finding of an «optimal» mode of life. Nevertheless, individual awareness of the discovered tendencies can induce a person to more rational and founded life decisions.
