SCIENTIFIC DEVELOPMENTS AND RESEARCH HISTORY OF ACUTE STRESS DISORDER

 

Abstract. The topic of traumatic stress and psychic trauma, in particular acute stress disorder (ASD), is quite extensive. The problem of the occurrence of ASD is quite relevant, since for psychological practice it is extremely important to predict and prevent the onset of acute stress disorder. ASD as a risk factor for post-traumatic stress disorder (PTSD) is still under investigation, but there is quite little information about variables predict ASD and other acute pathological post-traumatic reactions. This article will explore the history and scientific developments of the concept of ASD, as well as its comparison with the diagnoses of acute stress reaction (ASR) and PTSD.
